"On the Road"

Traveling the 68 miles of the Beartooth All-American Road is always an adventure.

In early spring of each year snow plows head east and west on the highway and meet at the Montana / Wyoming state line close to Beartooth Pass. Early spring-time travelers will find snow stilled piled high along the upper elevations of the Highway.

Cooke City Founding Fathers

The Cooke City cemetery is located only a short distance from town. Within the plot lie the remains of many who cherished the hope for the future of Cooke City, including one of its founders, Horn Miller (above, center). When lumber for coffins was needed, men of the community simply used parts of uninhabited buildings to construct the boxes.
